New Innovations in Electron Beam PBF: Enhancing Production Capabilities

Electron beam powder bed fusion (EB-PBF) technology stands out for its capability to 3D print refractory metals such as tungsten and its alloys. Refractory metals are known for their exceptional properties and resistance to heat, wear and corrosion, which are desirable in industries such as aerospace, defense, medical and nuclear. Join Jeol’s webinar to learn more about EB-PBF technology and explore its potential applications in manufacturing tungsten and refractory metals.

Agenda:

  • Review of EB-PBF and its capabilities
  • Advantages of EB-PBF technology for printing high temperature and crack prone alloys
  • Importance of additive manufacturing for printing tungsten and refractory metals/alloys

About the Presenter

Jonathan Buckley

AM Applications Engineer, JEOL USA

Jonathan Buckley is an AM applications engineer for JEOL USA. He has worked in the additive manufacturing industry for seven years, primarily supporting EB-PBF technologies. Jonathan has experience both from supporting an EB-PBF machine manufacture and from utilizing EB-PBF technology at an AM medical device contract manufacturer focused on the production of additively manufactured orthopedic implants.
